What do EDT, EDP, and EDC stand for?

These terms indicate the concentration of aromatic compounds in a perfume. The concentration levels are as follows:

  • Eau de Parfum (EdP) / Parfum de Toilette (PdT): 10-20% (typically ~15%) aromatic compounds. Sometimes referred to as “eau de perfume” or “millésime.”
  • Eau de Toilette (EdT): 5-15% (typically ~10%) aromatic compounds.
  • Eau de Cologne (EdC): A chypre citrus-type fragrance containing 3-8% (typically ~5%) aromatic compounds.
